About Caregiver Wisdom

Caregiver Wisdom is an online venture supporting caregivers who take care of loved ones with chronic debilitating illnesses. We support caregivers with loving, practical advice and offer community connection for people walking the same challenging and sometimes lonely path.

While we focus on caregivers of people with ME/CFS, Long COVID, fibromyalgia, POTS, chronic Lyme, and other infection-associated chronic illnesses, a lot of what we discuss will resonate with other caregivers too.

The Story Behind Our Logo

  • The lotus flower is a symbol of strength, resilience, and rising from a dark place into beauty and rebirth, as a lotus flower grows in the mud.

  • There’s a heart in the middle of the lotus, symbolizing the heart we put into our jobs as caregivers.

  • The circles behind the lotus and heart symbolizes the circle of community, which strengthens and lifts us up.

  • The color purple represents powerful insight, compassion, creativity, inspiration, and the energy of a higher purpose.

Our Founder

Kim Moy, founder/CEO of Caregiver Wisdom

Kim Moy has been a caregiver for about 20 years for her husband who’s disabled from Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), and has also helped take care of her elderly parents. After 30 years of experience as a journalist, content strategist, and content marketing leader, she’s taking her professional skills, personal life experiences, and deep passion to help fellow caregivers to build Caregiver Wisdom. She is the mother of two sons and is a Zen student.

“I think the most important part of these meetings is being seen and understood by everyone involved. It means the world to me to have access to such a caring and empathetic group of people who I don’t feel the need to explain myself or my situation to. All of the conversation topics are relevant and insightful. I learn something new every meeting. I really enjoy the break out into smaller groups. It’s easier to open up to and engage in smaller groups.”
